Description
Silver is used for cathode current collection. It can be used in place of more expensive gold or platinum, but should not be used in fuel cells above 800°C “operating” temperatures as temperatures at the cell may rise above the melting point of silver. Cathode ink is used to adhere the mesh to the cathode. Silver Ink can be used as well.
